These services are for people that would like to drop off the item they need to be worked on at the location of one of our technicians. We'll give you an address, you give us a time. Most services only require 24 hours to complete but keep in mind complexity and availability will have an impact on when the services will be completed. This method is our way of giving you a price brake for giving us the flexibility to complete your services at our convenience.

For most issues, a diagnosis will be quickly provided when a problem is described. Some more complex problems may require more time for diagnosis.

Recommend: Drop Off Services. Viruses can get past even the best anti-virus software and can be time consuming to remove. Primary concerns are the integrity of the operating system and the data within. This service will be provided with the intention of removing the virus and undoing any damage it has done, but sometimes viruses can damage the operating system beyond realistic repair. If this happens, a system restore will be required. All data should be salvageable through this process but programs will need to be re-installed before the computer will be usable again. There may be additional charges if the number of programs re-installed exceeds 5.

Sometimes the best scenario for a computer is to completely wipe out the operating system and start fresh. Contrary to what many retail stores claim this process does not necessarily have to destroy your personal data. As long as the hard drive physically functions the data can easily be preserved. Programs however will not survive a system restore. Software like Microsoft Office or Adobe Reader will need to be re-installed in order for your word files and .pdf files to work again. Once performed your computer will function like new, sometimes better then new, as we will only install clean operating systems free of any of the garbage software that generally comes with retail computers.

Upgrading your operating system is generally a simple but time consuming task. For example going from windows vista to windows 7 is mostly an automated process, but problems can arise such as software incompatibility. The operating system upgrade service is there to provide a more smooth transition from one operating system to another without having to worry about dealing with potential issues.

Installing new software can be a time consuming and confusing experience. We can simplify that experience while ensuring the installation is configured correctly. Drivers are a piece of software that allow communication between the hardware and the operating system. On occasion driver incompatibilities and corruptions can cause devices to malfunction or stop working all together. Generally after diagnosis, driver problems can be fixed quickly.

Many people experience computers slowing down significantly after steady use. This is generally not caused by hardware degradation. Computers have very few moving parts so the performance of them should not be significantly changing throughout their lifespans. Most of the time this slowdown is caused by increasing amounts of software running in the background steadily slowing the computer down. Most programs prioritize themselves and will run in the background continuously. This behavior can be quickly corrected without even uninstalling the programs. If this service is performed on site we will even show you how to keep background programs in check to keep the slowdown from returning. Virus scans and disk checks are also part of this service. This service is great as a way to get the computer into a technician's hands and they will most likely spot any abnormalities or issues.

This service covers the installation of RAM, Graphics cards, TV tuners, and other computer hardware. Sometimes new hardware will require software installations as well. For hard drive installations the data will need to be transferred from the old hard drive to the new one. There will be an additional fee based on the time required for the transfer. Data transfer is included in the system restore service. This service does not cover the parts for upgrade, only the service of installation. You can provide the hardware or we can help you purchase the hardware at a minimum cost. We do not add fees for parts orders, and we do thorough research to find the best prices on the internet.

More often then not hardware needs to be replaced instead of actually repaired, though if repair is possible it will certainly be offered as a solution. An example of this would be if you brought a laptop with a cracked screen. This service would cover the removal and installation of a new screen. You can provide your own replacement screen or we can show you the cheapest and most reliable places to purchase it. We do have some screens and various other spare parts in stock and will gladly sell them to you based on (and generally beating) the previously researched prices.

Wireless networks these days are pretty simple to set up. Generally a router will automatically configure itself in some manner but it's still recommended to have somebody with networking experience set up your network to ensure security and smooth operation. Our technicians will ensure your wifi is secured with WPA2 encryption and that all of your devices are fully configured. Most companies will charge extra per device when setting up a wifi, this is a bit ridiculous as a technician who knows what they're doing should only take a minute or 2 per device. Generally the most difficult part of setting up a good wifi is placement. Understanding how the signal works is essential for maximizing signal strength throughout your home, our knowledge and experience with wireless networks can go a long ways toward ensuring a reliable experience with all of your devices.

Wired networks are still more reliable and generally faster than wireless networks. Most of the time a wired network is recommended for desktops if it is feasible, and a hybrid of wired and wireless gives the best of both worlds. Our technicians are experienced with running the necessary cat5 or cat6 lines. This process is generally much more time consuming than a wireless network but the results can be significantly more reliable and faster than even the most advanced wifi setups. If you're a gamer you will instantly notice the benefits in ping and packet loss.

In our experience the most appreciated aspect of our service is the willingness to explain ourselves during the completion of any service. If you're interested in learning from what we do we're more than happy to do anything necessary to ensure you understand what we're doing and are able to use that knowledge for future issues. This is the most valuable of all our services because it allows you to not need us again for that problem. This is the most common at home service we provide. When customers bring home their new computers they don't want to spend all day setting it up. We'll be able to come by and quickly set up your systems hardware and software to make sure you're using your computer as soon as possible with as little stress as possible. This is also a good time to watch and ask questions to help you get accustomed to your setup.

All services offered for drop off can be completed on site. You will need to call or email to set up an appointment with us that is convenient for everyone. One of our technicians will come by within a 1 hour time window and assist you with any problems necessary. Diagnostics and quotes are always free. Any number of computer and electronics services can be performed within the time frame agreed upon and cost will be a flat rate of $50.00 per hour. If the service requires more than 2 hours discounts may apply. There is a $50 minimum fee when an on-site service is performed.

All diagnostics are free. Electronics diagnostic services are very similar to computer diagnostics services. This process will be done quickly and accurately to provide a good estimation of what will be required to solve your problems.

Sometimes cell phones and tablets just don't quite do what they're supposed to. We can figure out what the problem is in a timely manner and get you going in the right direction to fix your issues. diagnostics are always free, but if the complexity of the problem calls for it the diagnosis could take time.

Android phones and tablets come with the software locked by the manufacturer. This is generally done for security reasons. With root functionality locked the data is more secure as malware will be much more restricted as to what it can see on the phone. This does not necessarily mean a rooted phone will have security issues, but it is an additional layer that is removed when rooting. The benefit of rooting is complete and total control of the phone, you'll be allowed to install any software you wish with features not normally allowed without root access. The full benefits of rooting will probably not be realized by somebody who does not know how to root themselves but one very common and powerful ability this grants is wifi tether: the ability to use your mobile network to browse the internet on another wifi device, such as a laptop or a tablet. Most service providers offer this on non-rooted phones at an additional fee, sometimes upwards of $30 per month. Rooting allows you to get the benefits of wifi tether without the cost of the service. Many providers take issue with this service though, whether your provider does is up to you to find out. Rooting also allows you to install more advanced custom launchers with functions not normally seen on your device.

Jailbreaking is necessary for apple devices to run software not approved and published by Apple. It's a way to take control of your device out of Apple's hands. currently if a piece of software is removed from the apple store it will be removed from your device, with jailbreak this is not a concern. Jailbreaking is legal but it does void your warrentee and most service providers are not particularly fond of it. The result is similar to an android root. We will not install illegal or pirated software on your jailbroken or rooted devices, nor will we show you how to obtain these types of software.

Most smartphones have simple methods of transferring data from one place to another without issue, but on occasion the complexity of the process could result in time lost and frustration gained. We are more that happy to provide these services at a low cost in a timely manner.
